Cranberry Orange Scones {w/ recipes)

There's something to be said about tradition. It gives stability and structure in times when things can be in array, which seems to be the norm in this world we live in. And while some could say that tradition can hold us back, I like to believe it roots us, and give us the foundation for our branches to grow tall.

Take the tradition of afternoon tea. A time each day to take a step back, sit down, enjoy some hot tea and a quick bite to eat. Sounds lovely to me.

So let us embrace tradition, particularly the tradition of tea time. Whether you drink coffee or tea or just water, come three o'clock, let's gather and sip away, chatting about our day, and nibbling on these delicious Cranberry Orange Scones.

PB Toast and Nectarine break.fast

hi friends. A few things to share with you today.

one. I made this delightful breakfast the other week before a long beach day. I needed some protein (go peanut butter!) to keep me energized. Combined with some fresh fruit and yerba mate tea - it hit the spot.

two. You should all go visit the lovely Chelsea of Chelsea's Culinary Indulgence, in hopes of winning an adorable apron from Pink Butterfly Aprons. The giveaway closes Thursday at midnight, at which point one lucky lady (or gent) will win the apron of their choosing. Even if you don't want/need a new apron, you should still stop by and browse her amazing recipes, including creations like Maple Bacon Donut Bites and Watermelon and Goat Cheese Bites. {who doesn't love bite sized goodies?}

three. I have been cooking and baking quite a bit lately, even if I haven't been blogging much. But not to worry, all kitchen successes (and flops) have been well documented and will be shared soon.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Favorite Herbal Tea {w/ reviews}

good morning friends.

***

Thought I'd share my current favorite herbal tea, Yogi Throat Comfort. This blend of wild cherry bark, orange peel, cinnamon, cardamom, licorice {and more} is perfect. It is naturally and organically sweet, with a rich combination of flavors.

The name fits the bill - this tea is the best when I've got a sore throat, or feel like one may be coming. The tea coasts your throat (as the name says) and provides instant relief.
