Olive Oil or Vino? {w/ travel}

via

Olive oil or wine? How does a food blogger choose?

Some of you would say wine without hesitation. The subtle complexities that make their way from the bottle of merlot to your tongue are just too much to deny.

But oh, have you ever tried a good olive oil?

This is just one of the dilemmas I face as I prepare for next week.

Because you see, next week - Friday to be exact - I will attend my first-ever food blogging conference. Eeek!
IFBC (the International Food Bloggers Conference), the first-ever conference for food bloggers, is being held this year in beautiful Seattle, WA.  I cannot wait to take in the sights, sounds, smells and of course, tastes, of this Pacific North West city. Excited is an understatement. It's all I've been talking about - to anyone who'll listen - for the last few months.

The conference is at the W Hotel in the heart of the city - mere blocks from Pike Place Market. I remember visiting Seattle when I was a kid and being fascinated with the marketplace.

I. Can. Not. Wait.

But, I'm also nervous.

The whole reason I started this blog was to try something new. And this is definitely something new.
And while I like new, the unknown can be unsettling.

What if everyone is like professional, Pioneer Woman status
and I'm just this little blogger from San Diego?

What if people don't like my blog design, my blog or worse, me?

What if.....?

I am a mix of emotions, but the overwhelming one is excitement.

Back to my dilemma. How do I choose between Artisan Olive Oil Tasting

  3. I'm a little nervous too! I don't think I've ever met another blogger face to face... but I think it will be fun! Finally someone to talk to about two of my passions, food + blogging, without their eyes glazing over, lol! It's going to be great. I think I'll be going with the olive oil tasting, just because I think there's more baking-type stuff I could do with olive oil than wine, being a baking blogger. Hope to see you there! ;)
