Suja Juice 3-Day Cleanse

I love juicing fresh fruits and vegetables - whether for breakfast, a post-workout snack or even a healthy dessert. Juicing makes it easy to eat a handful of raw kale with a cucumber and orange, all in one glass.

When you juice (versus consuming the fruits and vegetables whole or blended), nutrients are absorbed more easily because your body doesn't have to work to digest them. Of course you should still eat (chomp, chomp) fruits and vegetables whole, but juicing them every once in a while is a great way to streamline the nutrients.

I learned about Suja Juice when I attended IFBC in Seattle last month and was fortunate to have the opportunity to try their three-day juice cleanse in exchange for sharing my thoughts with you.

Suja Juice is sold in select US grocery stores (find where here) and online.

What do they taste like?
// Some were great, others definitely tasted like green juices. I love spinach and kale in my juice, but could have gone without the celery. But what's great is that each bottle tells you exactly what's inside. I absolutely loved FUEL (carrot, pineapple and turmeric), PURIFY (beet, carrot, apple and cucumber) and the "dessert" juice, VANILLA CLOUD (almonds, coconut and cinnamon.)

How did you feel during the cleanse?
// Honestly, it was tough. I planned to do the full three-days of juice and water only, but my body couldn't take it. I got dizzy and lightheaded, and didn't feel well. I am self-diagnosed with whatever condition it is where you have to eat every three hours. But I took this as the opportunity to add more fruits and vegetables into my diet in addition to eating "real" food. Any day where you get to have fruit and vegetable packed juices is a good day in my book.

Whats the difference between juice on the shelf at the grocery story and Suja Juice?
// Suja Juice uses cold pressure processing to extend the fridge-life of the juice without killing the nutrients. Did you know that pasteurization essentially cooks off the vitamins, minerals and live enzymes in juices? Instead Suja uses High Pressure Pascalization "HPP." More information on HPP is on the Suja Juice website here.

**THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED**

  2. I'll have to give them a try! I haven't juiced in a while but I've done it for 3 days and for 5 days before. Going without food is no joke! You really do have to listen to your body. I'd probably go for the green charge! Most of the juices I made at home ended up green.
